MOVIES
Kareeb
(Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra: Starring Bobby Deol, Neha, Johnny Lever)

After an overdose of blood, Kareeb falls like gentle rain. Sweetly, but perhaps too softly. The love story between a rich textile merchant's spoilt son and the local schoolteacher's daughter, set against breathtaking locales, goes a bit off in the second half. The music is soulful. Newcomer Neha has a freshness about her. And yes, she can act.

THEATRE
Harvest
(Directed by Joy Michael; Starring Zohra Sehgal, Tannishta Chaterjee, Sri Ram Centre, Delhi, July 30- August 2)

Manjula Padmanabhan's award-winning play is a glimpse into a futuristic nightmare in which the Third World turns into an organs bazaar. Set in a Mumbai chawl, the characters live on the fringes of city life. With its bizarre theme, it would be worth watching.

FOOD
Gola Sea Food Corner
(Connaught Place, Delhi)

With daily supplies of fish, crab, lobster and prawns from Mumbai, this eatery offers great value for money. The fish orly with grilled sandwiches is for Rs 135. Sea-type decor; blue tiles and copper waves. Meal for two: Rs 350.
