1 TELEVISION
The single biggest earner for the BCCI. Every Test and ODI played in India will be telecast live on DD till 2004. For these rights, DD pays the BCCI roughly Rs 1.7 crore per match.

2 GUARANTEE FEE
The local cricket association gives the BCCI a guarantee fee-between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 35 lakh-for hosting a Test or ODI. The fee varies depending on the strength of the visiting team.

3 SIGNAGE RIGHTS
Rights for hoardings inside the stadium are sold by the local association. Sporting Frontiers India have bought the rights to at least a dozen Indian grounds; costs range from Rs 50 lakh in Nagpur to Rs 75 lakh at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

4 GATE MONEY
Ticket sales earn the local cricket association anything between Rs 50-75 lakh in smaller centres to Rs 3 crore in Kolkata for an ODI. A five-day Test attracts lower daily sales but can total Rs 1.25-1.5 crore in centres like Mumbai.

5 TEAM SPONSOR
IMG has promised BCCI Rs 45 lakh per ODI and Rs 55 lakh per Test. Is free to further find a sponsor.

6 SERIES SPONSOR
Pepsi owns title rights to all Tests and ODIs in India for five years, paying the BCCI Rs 75 lakh per game. Pepsi can sub-let the rights, as it has to LG and Hero Honda in the past.

THE DEAL THAT DIED
Till May 2001, Wills sponsored the India team: Rs 35 lakh per Test and Rs 30.5 lakh per ODI. Then came the tobacco ban. BCCI had to find a sponsor.
