Bold Beauty

Which acting school did Diana Hayden go to in London? Not the University of Taking Your Kit Off, surely? While Ab ... Bas is said to be steamy, Adaa is being touted as the film where Hayden "joins the clothes-shedding bandwagon". But the former Miss World is unperturbed. "It's a very sexy, western portrayal of a strong woman," she says. As for the alleged link-up with co-star Gulshan Grover, she sighs, "The rumour is not true and if the link-up is a publicity stunt, it's insulting to our talents." In her case, we still have to find out what those may be..

Bling Babe

She could well pass off for a beauty contest participant. But Pallavi Foley, 26, would rather design tiaras than have them placed on her pretty little head. This NIFT alumna was selected as one of the 32 finalists in the world in the Gold Sign Jewellery Design Awards 2004, organised by the Vogue Gioiello magazine, the international magazine's Italian edition. This bling babe has model-like looks that add to her charm. "I'm not that great looking. It's just the make-up," smiles the designer. Spoken like a true jewel..

Right Moves

First Saroj Khan, then Farah Khan ruled the roost. Attempting to dance her way into the monopolistic world of film choreography is Delhi's Anamika Singh. So impressed was director Samir Karnik with Singh's talent that he signed her on for his new film after their first meeting in July. " People should be able to connect to dance. That's why Farah Khan simply rocks," says Singh. She's got the moves already: in Bollywood, sucking up to the big dons is wise.

Second Coming

Saif Ali Khan may have denied that he did not freeze his bank accounts after he walked out of his marriage with Amrita Singh, but the ex-wifey has still got herself a rescue-operation fit for a soap opera. Literally. Lifting her out of a potential financial lurch is Balaji queen Ekta Kapoor, who handpicked her for the role of an influential character in Kul, a family drama to go on air in January. "Amrita is a powerful actor with a certain aura about her," she says. Plus, her life could be the inspiration for a full-length saas-bahu script.
