It happened last week but Bollywood is still reeling from the snarky attack. Director and chatty TV host Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri were forced to leave a private screening of Shabd in Mumbai when producer Rangita Nandy made it clear she had not invited them. Johar and Nandy won't talk but lawyer Kaajal Anand, whose close pal and star of the film Sanjay Dutt had organised the screening, says, "Nandy has been apologising but nothing has come of it yet." POETRY IN MOTION

Call it poetic justice. When Nilaya Upadhyay, 42, a pharmacist from Bihar, who also writes poetry, landed in Mumbai after having lost his job, a chance encounter with film director Sagar Sarhadi changed his luck. Not only was Sarhadi aware of his work, he also made Upadhyay dialogue writer for his new film Chausar. "I never expected it and also so early," says Upadhyay, who next wrote Kundan Shah's Three Sisters and is busy with his third project. It could easily be called Poet's Progress..
