Sing Song

Inspired by Jaaved Jafferi's Crocodile Dundee spoof in Salaam Namaste, Vivek Oberoi is ready to don the cowboy hat for a guest appearance in Firoz Nadiawala's Deewane Huye Paagal. Oberoi will also render a rap song introducing the main characters in the film. "It was a very innovative and unusual idea," says the actor, who trained with Anu Malik for the number. Now, that's being in tune with the times.

Having A Ball

Manisha Koirala refuses to be written off easily. Apart from films, keeping the Nepali beauty busy are lessons in Latin ballroom dancing from Sandip Soparrkar. She has also facilitated the choreographer's next stage production-a play with 40 hearing-impaired participants. It will be directed by Sarah Giri, wife of a former prime minister of Nepal and a family friend of Koirala. "I have done nothing but introduce Sandip to Sarah Giri. And if that works out well, I will be most happy," says the porcelain beauty with a yo-yo figure. Could the stage be her next stop? "Maybe," is all she says.

Musical Moves

He was a copy editor with a web portal. Now, 25-year-old Anshul Vijayvargiya makes his debut as an assistant director, music director and lyricist with Deadline, starring Konkona Sen Sharma and Irrfan Khan. He has not only assisted director Tanveer Khan, but also composed music and written lyrics for four tracks in the film with creative partner Sandy. "I am thrilled to have KK and Sunidhi Chauhan singing for me," says Vijayvargiya, who had no formal training in music. "I have grown up on films and music," he says. It shows.

The X-Factor

She did a special appearance in the film Page 3, which should make her a card-carrying socialite. Now Mumbai-based architect and interior designer Nisha Jamvwal has another ace up her sleeve. She recently launched her first womenswear line, interestingly called Sex With My Ex. "I wanted to create a collection that works for women of all ages and sizes and reflects my personal style," says Jamvwal. And with Pooja Bedi modelling her collection, Sex With My Ex takes on a whole new meaning.
