At 6 ft 1 inch she is the tallest Indian model on the catwalk. Just-turned-19 Sanya Shaikh has only a year of modelling experience but she has already walked the ramp for international names like Valentino, Guess, Moschino, Gianfranco Ferre and Trussardi. And film offers are already pouring in. "Movies may happen someday but I would be asking for too much if I said that I want to debut opposite Abhishek Bachchan," laughs the long-legged lass. This cat wants the cream too.

Dreaming Big

He's barely 10 and wants to be the world's youngest film director. Having starred in 24 Kannada films, Kishan Shrikanth is directing a Kannada film Care of Footpath. He wants to complete it by the yearend and apply for the youngest director title in the Guinness Book of Records. His dream? "To learn filmmaking from Steven Spielberg." Only that?

Media Savvy

He was in Mumbai for 27 hours. Enough to attend the premiere of his film The Myth, address the press and do a tourist's round of Bandstand and Juhu beach. Jackie Chan told the press he was persuaded to come to India by an almost teary Mallika Sherawat. He also said that India and China should do more collaborative projects. Charity work also ranks high up in Chan's list of priorities. "This year I am building 11 schools in China. It gives me more pleasure than winning awards for films," he says. Not surprising, considering he has not won any.

Script Change

Her latest film Taj Mahal might be a monumental disaster but Pooja Batra, who is currently pursuing a course in filmmaking from the University of California, will soon make her directorial debut with a short film. "I love every aspect of filmmaking and it makes sense to know what goes on behind the camera," says Batra.
