After her enticing Nescafe ad, modeldom's long-haired Rapunzel, Maushmi Udeshi, will now feature in Priyadarshan's Bhagam Bhag. Udeshi sizzles in a song-that she says is opera-like-titled Afreen, sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar, Govinda and Paresh Rawal. With her debut film Lips-Kiss of Death still on the backburner, she is now dancing her way to Bollywood. "I am also doing a music video for Sonu Kakkar, which is a hardcore dance number," she adds. What other kind is there these days?

LO AND BEHOLD

She set the international music scene on fire with hits like Waiting for tonight and Jenny from the block. Now Jennifer Lopez, the diva from the Bronx, is slated to perform live in Mumbai on April 23. She might stop over at Delhi, too, though nothing is confirmed. "For the 90-minute extravaganza, Lopez will be coming in with 30 tonnes of equipment," says Sabbas Joseph, director, Wizcraft. J-Lo maybe luscious but she ain't light.

Writers' Bloc

Shenaz Treasurywala was the quintessential bubbly MTV video jockey. After countless countdown and music request shows, she tried her hand at acting-not very successfully. Will she have better luck at writing? She certainly hopes so, having scripted an English-Hindi comedy, based on a universal concept of four friends and their experiences, targeted at urban youth. "I always wanted to be behind the camera," says Shenaz, who has done a course in scriptwriting from New York. Well, now's your chance, baby.

Creative Charity

To promote her upcoming movie Mother Teresa of Calcutta, Golden Globe Award Winning actress Olivia Hussey chose Delhi-based designer Varun Bahl to design a "romantic prêt" clothing line for her, which will hit stores in the US in June, coinciding with the movie release. The proceeds from the sales will go to charity. "Olivia's off-screen personality is similar to her role as Mother Teresa," says Bahl. That's called a missionary position.
