Nine-year-old Anshul Khosla, who won an award for best script at the Young Filmmakers' Film Festival in Toronto recently, directed, produced, scripted and acted in Love Changes Everything, a documentary on Mumbai's street children. A Harry Potter fan and a student of St Dominic Savio School, Mumbai, Khosla, whose ambition is a toss-up between becoming a film director and a cricketer, dreams of working with Amitabh Bachchan one day. Though he has been invited to send a movie next year too, he says, "It will also be about street children, but I can't reveal anything more." Already learning the tricks of the trade, eh?

PARTYING GIFT

Destiny's Child singer Beyonce Knowles made a bootylicious appearance at the Cannes Film Festival wearing blue chalcedony earrings by none other than Delhi-based jewellery designer Hanut Singh. "It's sweet of her to choose my earrings when she could've had a million others loaned to her," says Singh, who had gifted the pair to a friend of hers. Now we hear Halle Berry is hankering for Singh's earrings.

New Numbers

Former Viva girl Anushka Manchanda's girl band gig might have ended prematurely but she has been singing for Tamil and Telugu films and will now make her foray into Kannada films with Inderjit Lankesh's film Aishwarya. "It's an erotic number about the excitement of being in love," says Manchanda, who has been offered film roles too. And no, she's not looking to becoming an item girl. Here's one multilingual lass.
