Beauty Bash

“Learning martial arts is tough. But I always enjoy the experience.”
—Priyanka Chopra

Looks like it is action time for Bollywood’s hottest babes. While Sophie Choudry promises to deliver quite a punch in Speed, armed and dangerous Esha Deol will sizzle in Cash. But it’s Kim Sharma and Amrita Arora who are all set to kick some butt in Boomerang. “It’s not girly stuff. We rode dirt bikes, jet skied, para-sailed and had a ball,” says Sharma. The gorgeous Priyanka Chopra (below) follows up her deadly stunts in Don with a display of the Sikh martial art gatka in Drona. How’s that for beauty with brawn?

SISTER CONCERN

Urvashi Sharma’s hyped debut in Naqaab may not have witnessed fireworks at the box office, but the actor’s supermodel sister Sucheta (right) seems to have been bitten by the Bollywood bug too. Having walked the ramp for the country’s topmost couturiers, Sucheta, 23, has been signed on by Tips and is all poised to make her big debut with a music video. And how does the duo deal with sibling rivalry? “We are very supportive of each other. Just as I helped Urvashi in her modelling stint, she’s guiding me through my film debut,” says the older sister. Some sister act, eh?

A Cool Mission

Whether she is dating rapper P. Diddy or not, one thing is for sure. British hottie Sienna Miller, 25, is all for putting a freeze on global warming. Better known as Jude Law’s ex-girlfriend and star of movies like Factory Girl and Alfie, Miller was in Mumbai recently as an ambassador for Global Cool. She posed pretty with Amitabh Bachchan, partied with Salman Khan (left), visited the Dharavi slums and met filmi folks to spread her message. Miller on a mission, indeed.

HOT TOPIC

This girl-next-door has turned sizzling siren. Masumeh Makhija might have made her cutie pie debut in Chupke Se and followed it up with a commendable performance in Maqbool, but she’s now all set to up the oomph meter, having signed a two-film deal for Sanjay Gupta’s Alibaug and Dus Kahaniyan. “I want to concentrate on personal growth rather than get slotted as a glamorous or serious actor,” says Makhija, having recently wrapped up a German film, Tor Zum Himmel. And with her interest in martial art Muay Thai, here’s a woman of many talents..
